Gender, Sexuality, and What it Means to be Human
Speakers: Rosaria Butterfield, Todd Pruitt, and Carl Trueman
Is gender merely a social construct? Is it possible to be a “gay Christian”? What sorts of challenges does the new sexual revolution pose to the church? How should Christians respond to transgenderism and homosexuality? Does the church have good news for those struggling with their sexual identity?
The theme of 2019 Blue Ridge Bible Conference is Gender, Sexuality, and What It Means To Be Human. This two-day conference will examine the challenges presented to the church and society by the new sexual revolution and current confusion over gender. Where did all of this confusion come from? How will these massive changes in culture impact the church’s ministry? We will explore how the Bible shapes our understanding of human identity, gender, and sexual ethics and will consider how the church can offer the gospel to those whose lives are touched by confusion and sin.
We believe this conference will be an encouragement to Christians by equipping them to joyfully embrace and communicate the truth in the midst of confusion concerning human identity, gender, and sexuality. Join us March 29-30, 2019 in Harrisonburg, VA with speakers Rosaria Butterfield, Todd Pruitt, and Carl Trueman as we search the Scriptures for the life giving truth that only they can give.
