Conference Description
We live in a time where everything has become political, where partisan politics has divided our country and, sadly, even our churches. Christians wonder how to think biblically about government, law, policy, and the church-state relationship. How can we take the roles and responsibilities of both church and state more seriously while remaining faithful to Jesus Christ as Lord over all nations? Fortunately, we are not without guidance. Both God’s Word and the history of Christ’s Church and her theologians have given us many principles to think responsibly as Citizens of Heaven while living here in the City of Man. The Psalmist reminds us that even while the nations rage, our Lord sits in the heavens and laughs (Psalm 2:1-4). It takes a mature political theology to help the pilgrim believer laugh along with God. Please consider joining us this September 29th and 30th at the 2023 Prince George’s Conference on Reformed Theology as we explore The Political Christian: Citizens of Heaven in the City of Man.
