James 4:11-12
We know the saying, “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil," often accompanied by a picture of three monkeys covering their eyes, ears, and mouth. Well, James says much the same thing when he writes, "Do not speak evil against one another, brothers." In his typical blunt fashion, James strongly cautions us against the sins of slander, gossip, backbiting, and speaking evil of others.
